We invite all families with sons or daughters interested in memorizing God's word this year to join us in Bible quizzing.

For older students, the Cedar Rapids Area Bible quizzing league will be memorizing the books of Romans and James. Younger students (6th grade and under) will memorize Romans 5, 6, 8 12, 13, and James 1-5. We will be using the 1984 NIV translation throughout the quiz year.

There is no lower age limit for quizzing, but students should be able to memorize, and possess maturity to be attentive and cooperative. Many quizzers start around the 2nd or 3rd grade. Students can quiz until they are 20 years old at the start of the quiz year.

The divisions in quizzing are:
Little League: 6th grade and under
Junior Varsity: 7th grade-9th grade
Varsity: 10th grade-19 years old on November 1.

For Cedar Rapids practices, we will meet at Immanuel Baptist Church on F Ave. (This has not yet been confirmed for 2005-2006 quizzing.) If you need directions, please contact us. Be alert for changes during the year.

Once a month for extra practices, we go up to Rochester, MN and join the league there for a fun afternoon of quizzing. The Rochester quiz league is run by Karl Kirkman, and meets at Emmanuel Baptist Church. For more information go to Rochester Quizzing, or contact us.
