Welcome to the Cedar Rapids Bible Quiz website! This site is designed to be an encouragement and resource to Bible quizzers especially in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area, and to help keep people excited and informed about Bible quizzing. This site is also designed to help new families get involved and off to a good start. I hope you will enjoy your time here and find something that will be useful to you and your family.

Bible quizzing is an effective tool for any family serious about Bible memorization. We memorize large portions of Scripture throughout the "school year". Our saying is that we quiz to memorize, we don't memorize to quiz. Quizzing is a tool to help us hide more of God's Word in our hearts than we might do on our own. Bible quizzing provides incentive and accountability to maintain a regular schedule in memorization.

There are many different styles of quizzing. Cedar Rapids quizzers use the World Bible Quizzing Association (WBQA) style. We memorize in the 1984 NIV version. Quizzing is designed for young people under the age of twenty, with parents and "retired" quizzers as coaches, quizmasters, scorekeepers, support, etc.

I will try to keep this as up-to-date as I can and put up new announcements and scores, although maintaining this website is not my primary job. Please forgive me for any delays.
