There are times in our trials that it seems that God turns our lives upside down. He does this so that we can see right side up as He sees. This is illustrated in a Moody science video with Dr. Irwin Moon. Dr. Moon, in an experiment, put on a special pair of glasses (he looked like he had binoculars strapped on his face) which made him see upside down. He wore these glasses for days, only taking them off when he went to bed. He wore a blindfold when he went to bed so he would not wake up and look at anything until he had the special glasses on. At first, as I said, he saw everything upside down. He had to be helped everywhere because his perception of everything was way off. After a period of days, however, his perception of things was all right side up. This parallels God turning things in our lives upside down. In our flesh we see everything right side up, that is, the way we think things are and ought to be. But this is not how God sees things. What He sees is upside down to us. So God turns our world upside down in an area of our lives. At first we are confused and our perception of things is way off. Over a period of time God retrains our mind to see as He sees, that is, right side up. Eventually we see things as God sees them in a given area of our lives. Then God turns our world upside down in another area of our lives and the process starts again. This is all part of spiritual growth to make us to be like Christ so we see as God sees. "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." Philippians 1:6 "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, Whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8
